Charming Coron: Darayonan Lodge

11:53 PM

I had one of the most accommodating stay at Darayonan Lodge when we went to Coron last January. I started corresponding with Mr. Chin Fernandez back in November when I was looking for a place. We were seven in our group.

Mr. Fernandez guided me through the possible tours and packages I can avail for our trip. We had agreed to taking a tour exclusive for our group and selected which places to visit. I requested for additional lunch for our package but since we will arrive around 2pm, he just gave us free merienda. He even gave choices for our merienda - softdrink and sandwich, pansit and softdrinks, kakanin or puto-dinuguan. We opted for the pansit and softdrinks.

Their package rates are computed at either triple or quad share room complete with meals. We wanted two double rooms and one triple room. There should have been additional charge for our double rooms but he was kind enough to waive it.

Upon arrival to Darayonan, I was surprised to see how big our rooms were. There were one double bed and two single beds in each room - even for the ones we booked as double. The rooms were your basic accommodation but we had a good view of the pool.

After a whole day of snorkeling, it was relaxing to just wade in their pool.

My favorite part would be their garden at night.

Their food was average but Coron has different restaurants that can satisfy your taste. Just take a walk to find the right choice.

Darayonan Lodge may not be for backpackers but it surely is a good value for your money.
